PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) received an Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) certificate issued by the Ministry of Manpower in collaboration with PT Bureau Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI) as an Occupational Safety and Health Services Company (PJK3).
GRP President Director, Argo Sangkaeng, said that the SMK3 certification was the result of continuous efforts made to implement efforts in the field of occupational safety and health in each of its business lines. According to him, the rigorous certification process has involved a thorough evaluation of various aspects of the company's performance and compliance with established safety standards.
BKI Senior Manager of Industrial Operations, R. Sapto Agung Pramusinto, hopes that the implementation of K3 in the company will not stop here, but can continue to be improved so that it can ensure the sustainability of the company's K3 program in the future in line with industrial developments.
The SMK3 certificate assessment process is carried out through a question and answer method as well as checking operational conditions, hazard protection systems and emergency hazard response facilities directly by the BKI auditor team regarding the suitability of the regulations governing the implementation of SMK3, namely Government Regulation (PP) No. 50 of 2012 concerning the implementation of the K3 Management System (SMK3). Furthermore, there were 166 audit criteria assessed, where GRP succeeded in obtaining a satisfactory predicate with a score of 85.5% in the "Steel Manufacturing and Fabrication" category.
