PT. Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (“BKI”) As the Holding Company of BUMN Jasa Survey or IDSurvey, is pushing the hottest issue of Decarbonization in the World of Merchant Ships to increase Ship Efficiency and Environmental Protection. The efforts were implemented concretely by BKI, which was trusted to be the Host of the 2023 Association of Asian Classification Societies (ACS) Seminar on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Jakarta.

This event was attended directly by the Director of Institutional Relations of IDSurvey Andry Tanudjaja, Director of Operations of IDSurvey R. Benny Susanto, Director of Shipping and Maritime Affairs of the Directorate of Sea Transportation who on this occasion was represented by the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Ship Design, Stability and Load Line, expert staff in the field of Maritime Law of the Ministry of Communication and Marine Affairs Okto Irianto, Secretary Insa Budi Halim, ACS Delegates and Speakers from various countries, as well as a number of Indonesian Maritime Industry players.

This seminar was the first to be held offline again after the Covid-19 pandemic, and was attended by all representatives of the Classification Agency delegations from China, Japan, India, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the UAE.

2023 ACS Seminar Event It raises the topic of Shipping and Ship Building by discussing three main sessions, namely the regulation of Renewable Maritime Technology that impacts Indonesian shipping abroad, Decarbonization, and Digitalization. BKI promotes one of the hottest issues of Decarbonization in the World of Merchant Ships. In this case, BKI supports the issue of developing ship energy efficiency and the use of alternative fuels for the utilization of Resources.
