PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), as the lead holding of state-owned survey services (IDSurvey), held a Technical Committee Meeting under the theme Driving Excellence, Defining the Future on April 24, 2025, at the Nava Building, PT BKI (Persero).

The event was attended by Mr. Arief Budi Permana, Deputy Director of Classification Business Management at BKI; Mrs. Anita Puji Utami, Chairperson of Iperindo; Mr. Fredhi Agung Prasetyo, Vice President of Classification & Statutory Research and Development; as well as the members of BKI’s Technical Committee for the 2023–2025 period.

The meeting was organized to validate BKI’s technical regulations as a requirement for the issuance of Rules, which will later serve as BKI’s submission materials to the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).

The agenda of the Technical Committee Meeting included the validation of seven (7) Draft Technical Rules, divided across three Panel Sessions. In general, the meeting approved the outcomes of the panel sessions from each sub-committee, which had validated the following Draft Technical Rules:

NE July 2025 – Rules for Container Ships (Pt.1, Vol. XVIII)

NE July 2025 – Rules for Classification and Surveys (Pt.1, Vol. I)

NE July 2025 – Rules for Machinery Installations (Pt.1, Vol. III)

NE July 2025 – Rules for Electrical Installations (Pt.1, Vol. IV)

NE July 2025 – Rules for Approval of Manufacturers and Service Suppliers (Pt.1, Vol. XI)

NE July 2025 – Rules for Non-Metallic Materials (Pt.1, Vol. XIV)

Following this validation, the drafts will be published by BKI in accordance with applicable procedures, while also taking into account proposals and feedback received during the meeting.
