Banjarmasin, December 29, 2025 — President Director of PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI), R. Benny Susanto, conducted a working visit to Trisakti Port in Banjarmasin to assess the readiness of maritime infrastructure and facilities ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period.

The visit was carried out amid heightened public mobility during the year-end holidays, when demand for sea transportation typically increases. As a major passenger and cargo gateway in South Kalimantan, Trisakti Port plays a strategic role in ensuring the smooth flow of people and goods, making operational preparedness a critical priority.
During the inspection, attention was focused on the condition and readiness of port facilities, operational support systems, and coordination mechanisms to ensure safe and orderly passenger services, loading and unloading activities, and ship movements.
The visit forms part of BKI’s ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation to support safe, reliable, and efficient maritime transportation during peak travel periods. The direct presence of BKI’s leadership on-site is intended to strengthen coordination, identify potential challenges early, and support timely mitigation measures.
Through this initiative, BKI aims to enhance public confidence in sea transportation services while ensuring the continuity of logistics distribution, which typically intensifies toward the end of the year. BKI reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding shipping safety and supporting sustainable maritime operations, particularly during periods of high activity such as the Christmas and New Year holidays.
