Jakarta, September 16, 2026 – PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), or BKI, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian Port Business Entities Association (ABUPI) in Jakarta to explore cooperation in testing, inspection, certification, consulting, classification, and statutory services for the port industry.
The MoU was signed at the Mezzanine Ballroom during the ABUPI Consolidation Forum, which brought together port industry stakeholders to strengthen coordination and discuss developments and emerging needs across the sector. BKI took part in the forum as a provider of testing, inspection, certification, consulting, classification, and statutory (TICCS) services.
Representing BKI at the signing was Director of Institutional Affairs and Resources R. Agus Doddy Dwisagita, while ABUPI was represented by Chairperson Liana Trisnawati, accompanied by members of the association’s Central Executive Board. The agreement provides a framework for both parties to explore and develop cooperation based on the agreed scope and requirements.
Doddy said the partnership with ABUPI forms part of BKI’s efforts to strengthen its engagement with the port industry and expand its contribution through integrated TICCS services.
“Through this partnership, BKI can broaden its contribution to addressing the needs of the port industry, particularly through testing, inspection, certification, consulting, classification, and statutory services that comply with applicable regulations,” said Doddy.
Through the MoU, BKI and ABUPI will explore collaborative initiatives that respond to industry needs while promoting quality, regulatory compliance, and the continued improvement of port operations across Indonesia.
