Jakarta, November 26, 2025 – In commemoration of Indonesian Tree Planting Day, PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI) carried out a tree-planting initiative titled “Sustainable Green Action: Planting Trees for a Sustainable Future.” The activity was held onsite at Sungai Bambu RPTRA in North Jakarta and virtually through Zoom, reflecting BKI’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable community development. The program was organized through a collaboration between BKI’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Unit and the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Unit.

The event was opened by BKI’s Director of Finance, Risk Management, and Business Support, R. Agus Doddy Dwisagita, who highlighted the importance of ESG principles and the urgency of sustainability initiatives. Additional remarks were delivered by Busrol Karim, Head of HSE, Arif Bijaksana, Head of TJSL, and representatives of the Sungai Bambu Village administration.
To enrich participants’ understanding, the program featured an expert session by R. Pamungkas Buana Putra, S.Hut., M.Sc. from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), who explained the ecological role of vegetation and best practices for plant selection. The agenda also included a hands-on tree-planting workshop at the RPTRA, involving BKI representatives, subdistrict officials, community members, and Family Welfare Movement (PKK) management. BKI employees also joined the event online.
As part of the initiative, BKI planted five tree species—Tabebuya, Ketapang Kencana, Glodokan Tiang, Klengkeng, and Matoa—at the Sungai Bambu RPTRA and distributed additional trees to local residents to encourage neighborhood greening efforts.
Through this program, BKI strengthens its commitment to sustainability and supports the creation of greener, healthier, and more resilient urban environments for future generations.
