Merak, December 24, 2025 – President Director of PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI), R. Benny Susanto, conducted an inspection visit to the Ciwandan Transportation Operations Control Assistance Post (BKO) and PT Bandar Bakau Jaya (BBJ) Port in Bojonegara, Banten, to assess the readiness of maritime infrastructure and services ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period.

The visit aimed to ensure operational preparedness and infrastructure reliability in anticipation of increased public mobility during the year-end holiday season. The President Director was accompanied by the Head of BKI’s Banten Main Classification Branch, Suwandi, and the Head of BKI’s Banten Pratama Commercial Branch, Muh Arafah.
During the inspection, R. Benny Susanto emphasized that the initiative reflects BKI’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Government and the Ministry of Transportation in ensuring safe, orderly, and efficient sea transportation services throughout the Christmas and New Year travel period.
“Through active inspections, technical supervision, and verification of ship seaworthiness and supporting maritime facilities, BKI remains committed to delivering safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation services for the public,” he stated.
As a national institution responsible for maritime safety and reliability, BKI continues to enhance service quality—particularly during peak travel periods—to help ensure public confidence and safety during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
