Jakarta, January 8, 2026 — In commemoration of National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH/K3) Month, observed from January 12 to February 12, PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI) launched its HSE Strategic Briefing 2026 through an online session held via Zoom. The briefing marked the opening of BKI’s series of OSH Month activities and was attended by employees across the organization.
The session featured a strategic address from BKI President Director R. Benny Susanto, who outlined the company’s occupational safety and health policy direction for 2026 and reaffirmed management’s commitment to strengthening a sustainable safety culture.
Carrying the theme “Safety Culture: Beyond Compliance, It’s Our Character,” the briefing emphasized that occupational safety and health must go beyond regulatory requirements and be embedded in everyday attitudes and behaviors. This approach is considered essential to ensuring service continuity, protecting human capital as the company’s most valuable asset, and fostering a safe, healthy, and resilient work environment.
In his remarks, Benny Susanto stressed that safety culture must be demonstrated through consistent actions, not merely stated in policies or slogans.
“Culture is not just words on the wall—it is reflected in what we do every day, even when no one is watching,” he said.
He also highlighted the critical role of leadership in safeguarding employees’ physical and mental well-being, particularly in mitigating risks associated with fatigue and health issues. Benny underscored the importance of strengthening occupational health management and ensuring serious follow-up on Medical Check-Up (MCU) results, noting that employees who are not physically or mentally fit cannot work safely.
Through the HSE Strategic Briefing 2026, BKI seeks to ensure that the implementation of occupational safety and health remains aligned with continuous service quality improvement. A safe and healthy workplace is viewed as a key enabler of reliable public services, accident prevention, and the protection of both workers and service users within the maritime sector.
This initiative further reinforces BKI’s ongoing commitment to responsible, sustainable work practices that support public safety and contribute to national development.
