Temanggung, September 23, 2026 — PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), or BKI, together with the IDSurvey Group, has inaugurated the Nglarangan Village Development Programme in Tretep District, Temanggung Regency, Central Java. Through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme, BKI is contributing to community skills development by providing welding training designed to equip residents with practical skills and create new business opportunities.

The Nglarangan Village Development Programme will run through 2028, focusing on education, environmental initiatives, and community-based enterprise development across three key areas: IDS Skill Plus, IDS EcoAssure, and IDS MSME Growth Hub. The programme began with social mapping, needs assessments, and discussions involving the Regional Development Planning, Research and Innovation Agency (Bapperida), local and village governments, and community representatives to ensure that its implementation reflects local potential and community needs.
As part of the programme, BKI and IDSurvey are drawing on their respective expertise to support the development of welding skills among local residents. The training provides practical knowledge and hands-on skills that participants can apply to develop businesses and generate income.
BKI’s Director of Institutional Affairs and Resources, R. Agus Doddy Dwisagita, who attended the inauguration, said BKI’s contribution to the programme reflects the company’s commitment to delivering benefits that can be directly applied by the community.
“We hope the skills acquired through this programme will equip the community to further develop their capabilities independently and turn them into business opportunities that align with their potential,” said Doddy.
The welding training marks an important stage in the community capacity-building process under the Nglarangan Village Development Programme. Following the implementation of priority programmes in 2026, the initiative will continue with capacity strengthening in 2027, with the goal of supporting greater community self-reliance by 2028.
Throughout the programme, residents will be encouraged to further develop and apply the skills they acquire in line with local needs and economic potential. The Nglarangan Village Development Programme also forms part of the IDSurvey Group’s broader collaboration with various stakeholders to strengthen community capacity based on needs at the village level.
As part of the IDSurvey Group, BKI contributes to the programme by applying its corporate expertise through TJSL initiatives focused on skills development and community capacity building.
