Jakarta, August 18, 2026 — PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI), together with the IDSurvey Group, has provided humanitarian assistance to communities affected by disasters in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Coordinated by the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) units of BKI and IDSurvey, the assistance was delivered through the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) at its National Logistics Support Post at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.
The assistance was handed over by Head of BKI’s TJSL Unit Arif Bijaksana Prawira Negara and his team. The aid included health supplies, essential items for infants and children, and clothing to help meet the immediate needs of communities affected across seven regencies in NTT: Manggarai, East Manggarai, West Manggarai, Sikka, Ende, Ngada, and Nagekeo.
Arif Bijaksana Prawira Negara said the assistance was prepared based on the needs of affected communities and delivered in accordance with established distribution mechanisms.
“We strive to ensure that the support provided is channelled through the proper mechanisms so that it reaches those who need it most, in line with the conditions and requirements of each affected area,” said Arif.
The initiative forms part of a joint humanitarian programme involving State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) under the auspices of Danantara Indonesia to support emergency response and recovery efforts for disaster-affected communities in NTT. By working through BNPB, the programme is integrated into the national disaster management system, enabling assistance to be distributed according to the needs and priorities of each affected area.
Through this initiative, BKI reaffirms its commitment to supporting communities in times of need, particularly during disaster situations. The assistance is expected to help ease the burden on affected residents while supporting ongoing emergency response and recovery efforts across the seven affected regencies.
