On June 14 to July 18, 2014, BKI participated in IMO Sub-Committee Sesseion on the Implementation of IMO Instruments (III) at its first session, held at IMO headquarters in London. BKI act as part of a delegation of the Republic of Indonesia, which consists of the Transportation Attaché at the Embassy in London Capt. Sahattua Simatupang, Sindu Rahayu (of Public Relations and KSLN, Hubla), Capt. Diaz Saputra (Ditkapel), and Efa Rosida Dwi Aditirta (BKI).
The Sub-Committee is the restructuring of the Sub-Committee on Flag State Implementation (FSI) is modified since the year 2013, as part of the review and reform process initiated by the IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu.
Discussion at the hearing the Sub-Committee of IMO Instruments Implementation of this focuses on the discussion related to the effectiveness and consistency of the implementation and enforcement of IMO instruments concerning maritime safety and security and marine environmental protection, among others, related to Updated Survey Guidelines under the Harmonized System of Survey and Certification (HSSC), Review of GlobalReg standards (non-mandatory instrument for non-convention vessels), Information RO high-performance, Guidelines for the PCSO, etc.
